John is fascinated by helping people to make the changes they want in their lives. He has 30 years’ experience of teaching and practising coaching at all levels, up to and including senior executives. He started exploring computer dating in the late sixties at University where he met his first wife. His pioneering research, on the skills of the most effective online daters, was carried out using the research methodology of NLP known as ‘Behavioural Modelling”. John is a national authority on Neuro-Linguistic Programming, which he has been teaching since 1983, and serves on the advisory boards of The Association for NLP and the Professional Guild of NLP. His training and consulting company, JSnlp (jsnlp.co.uk), is based in Bristol and has a reputation for providing some of the best NLP training in the UK. NLP is an outstanding source of communication skills and underlies most coaching training. John is the only person to have been appointed National Tutor for NLP in Education, has three honorary training awards, co-authored three books on NLP and is published in 14 languages.
At 65, he is trying to reduce both salaried and voluntary work in order to spend more time being and less time doing. He lives with his wife, Marian, in a secluded valley in the Welsh foothills, where they are creating a subtropical garden.
John has worked with his friend and colleague Susan on this project because he would like to see more people find happiness through online dating.
Susan’s passion is to help people have the best relationships they can possibly have – her work in the field spans coaching, writing, broadcasting, training and consulting. Besides offering guidance through this website and co-writing this Ebook, Susan also designs and teaches courses as a Faculty member of the training organisation The School of Life; her book How to Choose a Partner is based on the School of Life course that Susan co-wrote.
Susan’s background is in psychology and counselling, she is agony aunt for Fabulous magazine and has won the UK Dating Expert of the Year for 2015 at the UK Dating Awards. She has written 22 books published in 33 countries and 24 languages, two of which have been written for British relationship support organisation Relate; she is also the author of the rewrite of the classic sex manual The Joy of Sex.
Susan is a member of the Royal Society of Medicine and serves on the Council of Sexuality and Sexual Health for the RSM. She is also a member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists and the British Society for Sexual Medicine, is one of the Family Planning Association’s 21st Century Achievers, and a Patron of the Outsiders charity which campaigns for sexual rights for the less-abled. susanquilliam.com
